This 319 vase from the Ritzen series is a simple form with a graphic monochrome stripe – a striking example of the sgraffito glaze-scratching technique pioneered by Bollhagen in the 1930s. Each vase is individually moulded before being hand-painted, fired and hand-glazed by artisans at the Marwitz workshop.
