The 352 vase from the Ritzen series is a striking example of the sgraffito glaze-scratching technique pioneered by Bollhagen in the 1930s. The unusual silhouette is set in a mould before being hand-painted in diamond monochrome, then fired and hand-glazed by artisans at the Marwitz workshop.
