David Valner’s father Aleš designed the Aquarelle collection in 2017, fuelled by the idea of balancing the solidity of glass with the fluidity of water. Although inspired by the watercolour technique, these pieces are not actually painted – instead, coloured ovals are located inside the hand-blown glass mass to create eye-catching gradients akin to drops of paint soaking into wet paper.
