Otzi Studio uses the Pithos laundry basket to push the boundaries of what can be produced from a single piece of leather. It’s handcrafted from a full side of oak-bark tanned bridle leather, which is cut, polished, laced and stitched around a supportive leather base. The details are just as notable: the handle is made from hand-turned plane timber, ergonomically shaped to fit the hand, while breathability and water-resistance of the solid cork lid has been designed to slot in effortlessly to the demands of a laundry room. As Otzi Studio’s leather is naturally treated, it may feature subtle patination and markings.
